Successful Season!

16th January 2007

After the winter rebuild of Jaguar C-Type XKC 008, the season started at Silverstone with the HGPCA test day with us fielding a number of Historic Grand Prix & Sports Racing cars.

Off to Italy with the C- Type for The Mille Miglia (A good finish), whilst Connaughts A-3 (The Ex- Rob walker car, freshly rebuilt after nearly 50 years in museums !) & A-4 were transported down to Monaco for The Grand Prix Historique.

After a brilliant drive, David Wenman came second in the sports car race in XKC 008, a podium entirely populated by "Brits in Brit cars"................Off to Pau, for the next weekend - Phew !!

Later in the year, Le Mans - Another terrific result for the C-Type, driven by David Wenman, partnered by the irrepressable Julian Bronson - The team worked through the night to keep the car in good shape & all of their hard work paid off, another podium finish !

A number of U.K. races followed with an enviable level of reliability & a good level of results at both class & outright levels.

The VSCC "See Red" meeting at Donington at the end of the season saw us running Connaught A-4, an Aston Martin DBR4 & a Maserati 250F. A tremendous meeting saw all the cars perform well, with Barrie Williams driving the Maserati to second overall in the race & first in class & John Clark (In his first front-engined GP car race) bringing the Aston Martin DBR4 home second in class.
