From the dawn of motoring, vehicles not only needed to "Go" but also "Stop", early cars having only rear wheel braking. Decades of development have brought about some very sophisticated and effective systems.

We have experience of braking systems from the late 1800's to the 1970's operated by rods, cables and shafts, hydraulic brakes, Brake shoe/Brake drum combinations, Brake Disc/Brake pad combinations and a variety of both mechanical and vacuum methods of servo assistance.We have considerable experience of competition braking systems and methods of optimising same.

The relatively recent advent of "Asbestos Free" brake friction materials has added yet another challenge to the running of older motor vehicles in modern times and we can help with advice relating to these new materials, this also applies to competition vehicles.
