Competition Preparation Tuning

After careful building of an engine, it can be “Bedded-in” on a dynamometer, which simulates “Load Conditions” of a type which may be found when the engine is functioning in a vehicle. Running an engine on a dynamometer is a scientific process when a number of checks, controls and adjustments can be made e.g. Adjustment of ignition timing, adjustment of fuelling, monitoring of temperatures and pressures under load, all bringing about an optimisation process that allows us to get the best for you from your engine. With our chassis dynamometer we can also assess an engine when fitted to a vehicle and assess such things as transmission losses and cooling, as well as the standards of B.H.P and Torque.

We offer these services for vintage, classic and historic cars from our fully equipped workshop based in Kent in the South East of England.
